REVEREND DR. KRISTINE PETERSON
Pastor Kristine is an intentional interim pastor specifically trained to assist a congregation during a pastoral transition. She has served as Interim Pastor in three parishes in the SEPA Synod of the ELCA- St. John's Folcroft, Grace Drexel Hill, and Holy Trinity Narberth- as well as in the UCC at St. Luke's Trappe. She also served as the Associate Pastor at Zion Spring City, Pastor of Holy Spirit Secane and Bridge Pastor at St. Andrew's Audubon and Love Lutheran Church in Oxford. In addition to her interim work Pastor Kristine facilitates spiritual retreats in the synod.
Pastor Kristine is a graduate of the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, and was ordained in 1989. Before attending the seminary, Pastor Kristine worked in Omaha, Nebraska as a medical technologist, supervising Hematology at Children's Memorial Hospital. In 2006 she received a Master of Science degree from Neumann University in Pastoral Care and Counseling with a concentration in spiritual direction. As a spiritual director, Pastor Kristine companions others on their spiritual journey as they discern and respond to the presence of God in their everyday lives. In 2010 she was awarded a Doctorate of Ministry from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (now United Seminary).
Pastor Kristine and her husband Steve Schmidt live in Havertown with their family- three cats, Olivia, Ellie and Lina.
